The Trost society is a non-profit organization that "[aims to promote the legacy of Trost & Trost and other eminent architectural firms...educate the public about the rich architectural heritage of [the El Paso region]...and advocate for historic preservation and restoration.
The newly designed logo was inspired by the handwriting of Henry C. Trost himself, as seen on the blueprints of his buildings. The type treatment of "Trost" was custom-drawn to emulate his unique penmanship (see above).
A clean sans serif font was paired with "Trost" and stacked in order to create balance and structure. The logo mark highlights O.T. Basset Tower which is one of Henry C. Trost's most renowned buildings located in Downtown El Paso where the non-profit organization was born.
Blue represents expertise, knowledge, integrity, and trust. It also represents he stability of the architecture and loyalty to the dignity of historic buildings.
Gold evokes the feeling of prestige and symbolizes wisdom, wealth, and often symbolizes high quality.
